What is 'My Account'? How do I update my information?

'My Account' its another name for your Merricart account. Reviewing and revising your account is a breeze: just open your Merricart account and edit just about anything—address, phone number, email ID, password. You can also view and track you transactions on your account page, which is also known as the dashboard

 

How do I know if my order has been confirmed?

Once you have placed an order and paid for it the seller begins to process it. You will get an email with details of your order when this happens. Following this, you will receive a sequence of messages that will keep you notified about the journey of your order from shop to your doorstep.

 

Why do I see different prices for the same product?

Merricart being a highly competitive marketplace, you are likely to find the same product flaunting different price tags as several sellers compete with each other for your business. Advantage YOU.

 

Can I shop on Merricart even without an account?

Sure. You are welcome as a guest on our. Shop all you can even without an account. But registered shoppers enjoy a slew of extra benefits on Merricart that makes your shopping experience far more paying. So, while we welcome guests, the red carpet is for registered members.

How do I pay for a Merricart purchase?

Currently you can buy on Merricart with your credit/debit card or by using net banking all processed by India’s most trusted payment gateway: CC Avenues.

 

Are there any hidden charges when I buy on Merricart?

The simple answer is NO. At Merricart you get what you see at prices printed with the products. At Merricart we hide nothing except your privacy.

 

Is it safe to use my credit/debit card on Merricart?

Your online transaction on Merricart is protected by the highest standards of Internet security currently available. Our 256-bit encryption technology protects your card information even as your payments are relayed securely to the banks for processing through a secure and trusted payment gateways managed by leading banks. Banks now use the 3D Secure password service for online transactions, providing an additional layer of security through identity verification

 

What is a 3D Secure password?

The 3D Secure password is implemented by VISA and MasterCard in partnership with card issuing banks under the "Verified by VISA" and "Mastercard SecureCode" services, respectively.

The 3D Secure password adds an additional layer of security through identity verification for your online credit/debit card transactions. This password, which is created by you, is known only to you. This ensures that only you can use your card for online purchases.

 

Can I use my bank's Internet Banking feature to make a payment?

Yes. Merricart offers you the convenience of using your bank's Internet Banking service to make a payment towards your order. With this you can directly transfer funds from your bank account, while conducting a highly secure transaction.

 

Can I make a credit/debit card or Internet Banking payment on Merricart through my mobile?

Yes, you can make credit card payments through the Merricart mobile site and application. Merricart uses 256-bit encryption technology to protect your card information while securely transmitting it to the secure and trusted payment gateways managed by leading banks.

 

How do I check the current status of my orders?

You can review the status of your orders and other related information in the 'My Account' section.

In the My Account page click on the 'My Orders' link to view the status of all your orders. To view the status of a specific order, click on the 'Order Number' link.

 

What do the different order status mean?

Payment Pending Authorization: Your order has been logged and we are waiting for authorization from the payment gateway.

Payment Authorized, Order under Processing: Authorization has been received from the payment gateway and your order is being processed by the seller.

Order Shipped: Your order has been shipped by the seller and is on its way to the location specified by you for delivery.

Order cancelled: The order was cancelled.

 

When and how can I cancel an order?

You can cancel your order before it reaches the "Shipped" status simply by clicking on the cancel link on your My Accounts page.

 

Why do I have to pay for shipping?

Since sellers incur relatively higher shipping costs on low value items, we charge a flat amount of Rs 50 on orders of less than Rs 500. However, if you buy more than one item from the same seller then even if the value of each of the items is less than Rs 500, shipping is free. That is, let’s suppose you buy only a packet of biscuits costing Rs 180 in a single order, you will be charged Rs 50 as shipping charges for its delivery. On the other hand, should you order for four packets of the same biscuit from the same seller then you would NOT have to pay anything extra for shipping. The same is true even if you buy different products each costing less than Rs 500 so long as the seller is the same. So, for example you purchase a biscuit packet of Rs 180, a protein bar of Rs 240 and a pack of multivitamin tablets of Rs 120, adding up to a total order of Rs 540 then you will NOT be charged extra for shipping so long as you are buying all these items from the same seller, let us say X. However, if you buy the first two items from X and the last item from Y, then both your purchases will incur shipping charges of Rs 50 each as neither is over Rs 500. 

 

Are there any hidden costs (sales tax, octroi etc) on items sold by sellers?

No. There are zero hidden charges when you make a purchase on Merricart. List prices are final and all-inclusive. The price you see on the product page is exactly what you would pay.

 

What is the estimated delivery time?

Sellers generally procure and ship the items within the time specified on the product page. Business days exclude public holidays and Sundays.

Estimated delivery time is dependent on the following factors

• The Seller offering the product

• Product's availability with the Seller

•The destination to which you want the order shipped to and geographical location of the Seller

For items listed as "In Stock", Sellers will mention the delivery time based on your location pincode. This is usually 3-4 business days.

 

Why does the estimated delivery time vary from seller to seller?

You have probably noticed varying estimated delivery times for sellers of the product you are interested in. Delivery times are influenced by product availability, geographic location of the Seller, your shipping destination and the courier partner's time-to-deliver in your location.

 

Why does the delivery date not correspond to the delivery timeline mentioned?

It is possible that the Seller or our courier partners have a holiday between your order date and the estimated delivery date based on the timelines shown on the product page. In this case, we add a day to the estimated date. Some courier partners and Sellers do not work on Sundays and this is factored in to the delivery dates.

 

Why cannot a seller deliver to my area?

Whether your location can be serviced or not depends on

•Whether he serves your location

•Legal restrictions, if any, on shipping particular products to your location

•The availability of reliable courier partners in your location

At times Sellers prefer not to ship to certain locations. This is entirely at their discretion

 

How does the delivery process work?

All deliveries are handled by reputed shipping partners. You will be informed when the seller ships your consignment and will also be provided a tracking number. Sellers ship through Ship Rocket Logistics agents. During checkout you will be prompted to provide your location's pincode in order to ensure that the seller does indeed deliver to you.

 

How are items packaged?

Products sold by seller are shipped in Merricart packages with waterproof plastic wrap. Fragile items like biscuits are safely secured with bubble wrap. Sellers are rated on packaging quality which in turn will affect overall seller rating.

 

What is Xpressbees ?

Xpressbees is Merricart's preferred delivery partner. Xpressbees delivers across all major postal codes across India. For buyers, returns are processed through Xpressbees to pick-up service wherever possible.

Cancellations & Returns

Merricart does not normally entertain cancellation & return of products ordered. As part of usual business practice, if Merricart receives a cancellation notice and the order has not been processed/ approved by Merricart, Merricart shall cancel the order and REFUND the entire amount to User within a reasonable period of time.

Merricart will accept returns if ;

  1. The expiry date of your product is within six months of the delivery of the product.
  2. You receive a wrong product that is a product that you did not order.
  3. The product arrives in a damaged and unusable condition.
  4. The MRP printed on your order is less than what is published on our site.
